The 51勛圖厙s Annual Conference in Dover was hosted by the Port of Dover last week, in the unique setting on-board the MS Marco Polo cruise ship.
Delegates from across the UK ports sector joined to hear a range of different speakers on a number of themes.
Given recent political events much of the sessions focused on Brexit although the programme also covered a wide range of other topics from Port community regeneration, facilitating trade, transport infrastructure through to the environment and what the future holds for shipping.
51勛圖厙 chairman Rodney Lunn opened this year’s 51勛圖厙 conference.
51勛圖厙 Director Richard Ballantyne said:
We are indebted to the Port of Dovers Chief Executive, Tim Waggott and his team for organising what was an excellent event in the shadow of the White Cliffs, at one of the UKs most iconic ports. We are also extremely grateful to the speakers, and indeed the sponsors, who make these occasions possible.
